For folk who Work From Home, running their own Internet Business, they are in absolute control of their work situation. Many of the jobs they perform will be Online Jobs, so it is not necessary for others to know whether these individuals are able-bodied or disabled, unless these workers wish to reveal the fact. What a wonderful change that must be, to know that it is wholly up to them, as individuals, to decide who knows about their disability and who does not.
Without meaning to, and most of us do not set out to be biased, many of us see the disability in others, before we see the individual, and it must make a refreshing change for these people to think that they are regarded first and foremost for what they are able to do, not for how they look.
PCs are available today which can assist even the most severely disabled people to be able to connect with other people – think of Professor Stephen Hawking. The computer has given him the wherewithal to talk with others and pass on his considerable knowledge. Without this revolution in technology, it would have been a dreadful world for him after he lost the ability to talk. This must be an encouragement to other people who are similarly, perhaps to a lesser extent, disabled, or who have other disabilities but consider the pc is their lifeline.
While they Work From Home, in some cases with a customized pc to assist them with their Internet Business, the most important thing is to undertake the Online Jobs as competently as possible, and as long as this is the case, nobody would be aware whether the person they are dealing with was able-bodied or disabled, unless the person running the firm wished to advise of their disabilities.
It could be there would be some Internet Business firms, whereby telling future customers of a disability would be a plus, for instance if the product your firm was selling was to assist other disabled people, they may be comforted to know that you are disabled and therefore have a deeper understanding of their problems. In these situations, it may be something you would want to make public knowledge.
However, it could equally be that there would be no advantage to advising others of any possible disability, and in these cases, as you Work From Home, nobody need ever know. Maybe the particular disability you have keeps you awake through the night, and with an Internet Business, Online Jobs can be done at any time in a 24 hour period, so this may be an ideal time for you to carry out certain jobs. In this way, the long lonely hours of darkness will not seem so lonely, you will feel you are actually achieving something!
In my limited experience, depression can frequently be an issue for those carrying a disability. They possibly feel to some level useless if they cannot get out and earn. The option to do a worthwhile job in a rising industry, therefore, will return their confidence and show them that they do have a place in society where they can be beneficial.
